Relationships

Relationships are little miracles in life. Everyone sees each differently; enemies, rivals, strangers, friends, best friends, life partner, etc.. Wherever these bonds are formed, they come from the same root- the heart. We often take things for granted, many many relationships have failed because of our own carelessness, ignorance and ego. While easily broken, more relationships can indeed be made..but not a single one will ever be the same as another. This is what makes each relation so precious.

Sometimes, we lose a friend for the silliest of reasons. Sometimes, the other party doesn't feel the same way we do. Sometimes, people just grow further and further apart. Relationships span across time and space, even without communications. It's beautiful isn't it..? Every relationship needs nurturing and care, thoughts and feelings. With that person in your mind, and you in that person's mind, both with the same feelings, it's called a bond right?

Although nothing stays the way they are for all eternity, relationships do come and go. Certain stay with you for a short period of time, some others for a very long time. Either way they will eventually come to an 'end', where one party or both cease to exist, whether in their hearts or on earth. But that's what makes relationships even more precious. Farewells makes us realize the importance of each and every single person we meet in life, especially the ones we love. Just as how glass is fragile, relationships are too, which is why we often handle glasses with utmost care, and the same should be done for relationships.

If there's anyone who you've lost or grew apart from, treasure the memories you've had together. This way, we keep them in our heart. Reminisce the warmest days of those people. Even if the tears flow, let them do. The gentle feelings will someday get across time and space..and eventually reach its final destination.

I end this post with this song titled Through the Years and Far Away, dedicated to everyone whom I've met, to the people I've lost contact with, to the precious people around me, and to those who I'm yet to meet.
